John- Micheal has 16 years of experience under Relson Gracie. He is the owner and operator of Gracie Daytona/ Fight science. The event will be held on April 14, 2012 from 11 am to 1pm, the cost is $40. John-Micheal will also be conducting a self-defense class strictly for women, this immediately following the seminar. Having spent most of his life in Florida and Hawaii it was while enlisted in the United States Coast Guard that John-Michael “Hawk” was introduced to Relson Gracie jiu-jitsu in 1996 while stationed in Hawaii. Since then he has excelled as both a competitor and instructor in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, even being honored with the invitation to teach at Relson Gracie’s main academy. Having been taken under Relson’s wing and even into his home for many years John-Michael was fortunate to befriend and train with some of the best practitioners in the world both in the United States and in Brazil annually as part of the family.
